Five persons died in Argentina and more than 100 were hurt, 50 of them by fireworks.

In Juliaca, Peru, five people suffocated and 10 others were injured when a tear gas bomb was detonated inside a crowded nightclub.
In El Salvador, five people died and 57 others across the country were injured during holiday celebrations.
In Uruguay, at least 6 persons died in different violent events during the Christmas commemorations, Police also reported two fatal road accidents in the country.
