-- One of Marilyn Monroe's last photos collected a record price of 146,500 U.S. dollars at a Christie's auction, according to communication reports Thursday.
The photo "The Last Sitting" by Bert Stern is one of the 36 shots that Monroe posed for Vogue magazines in 1962, the same year she died. These photos are the last professional images taken of the iconic actress.
The price shattered the 63,000 dollars mark set in 1994.
These images from the mass of Leon and Michaela Constantiner are among more than 100 images of the Hollywood actress being offered for sale at Christie's.
"The results confirm that Marilyn Monroe's magical appeal has proven to be truly timeless," said Philippe Garner, Christie's intercontinental head of photographs, in a statement.
