CHEAPEST WAY TO TRAVEL TO GUAM?

You can proceed to either Hawaii or the Philippines, where direct flights go to Guam daily.

The Philippines (a former American colony) has a large number of low fare and low budget airliners going to Guam everyday, and some even advertise US$15 fares, excluding surcharges and airport taxes. Of course, the huge malls and excellent nightlife are a bonus here.

Hawaii (US state) is quite an expensive place to find flights bound for Guam, but if you don't want to go to the Philippines to scout for cheap tickets, then you can proceed directly from Salt Lake to Honolulu, and then grab a plan bound for Guam.

Bear in mind that June is the beginning of the typhoon season for both the Philippines and Guam (both are close to each other) and the flight can get quite scary especially when encountering a typhoon or monsoon rains.

The typhoon season in Guam runs from late May-late August.

Well, a caveat: There really is no "cheap" way to get to Guam from anywhere in the U.S. From Salt Lake City, you're looking at spending at least $1,500 or so. You're also looking at two layovers minimum, with the first being a West Coast airport and the second most likely being Tokyo or Honolulu.

I suggest using Orbitz.com to look for flights, and when you fill in the flight information, be sure to check the option that lets Orbitz search one day before and after your first-choice departure and return dates. Flying on the wrong day (i.e. Friday) can cost you hundreds of dollars more than on nonpeak times.

IS A PASSPORT NEEDED FOR TRAVEL BETWEEN GUAM & HAWAII OR A DRIVERS LICENSE IS JUST FINE?

Since island is Part of the United States…are Flights between island & island husbandly thence eliminating the requirement for a Passport? Is a Valid State ID or Driver authorise decent same when you movement between island and the Mainland?or Between the Mainland and Puerto Rico?

Yes, the flight from Hawaii to Guam is considered a domestic flight.

If you're on the direct flight from Hawaii to Guam, your valid driver's license will be just fine (for idenfication's sake) since you won't be going through Immigrations. This flight is within the US.

However, check your flight route and make certain that you are not connecting via Majuro or Japan since these are also other routes into Guam. If you connect via these other countries, your flight will be considered international and you will need to clear Immigrations on Guam. If you connect in these other countries/islands, you WILL need a Passport.

The other answers to your question may be right, but they're also confusing. To clarify: your question is if a passport is needed between Guam and Hawaii. If that means flying OUT of Guam, TO Hawaii, then yes, you need a passport, for sure.
Although Guam is part of the USA, the 'States', as Hawaii is part of, regard Guam as an International destination for some reason…don't ask. So a passport is necessary out of Guam into Hawaii. You will also need to go through inspection again if you are travelling from Hawaii to the mainland (once in Guam, again in Hawaii).
